Dinosaur Diamond Prehistoric Highway
Consisting of a combination of Interstate, National, and State highways this 512 mile loop lies within the states of Utah and Colorado. It was designated a scenic byway by the United States Secretary of Transportation based on several different grading criteria. There are several different attractions and cities located along the route and you will have a chance to see dinosaur bones being excavated, visit museums that showcase those bones and reconstructions of dinosaurs of all kinds. Attractions on the route include the Dinosaur National Monument, Canyonlands National Park, Arches National Park and much more. Enjoy the scenery by driving through a landscape that is shaped by mountains and valleys, plateaus and cliffs, rock formations such as natural arches, forests and desert. If you feel like getting out of the car and burn some energy there are plenty of possibilties on the way. Apart from hundreds of miles of hiking trails you can go camping, fishing, mountain biking, river rafting and kayaking and the cities and towns you'll pass on the way offer further recreational oportunities.Please note that the use of the scenic byway is free but there might be admission charges for the attractions on the way.

Canyonlands Nationalpark
The combined eroding forces of the Colorado and Green rivers working together over millions of years on the sandstone formations of the Colorado Plateau have formed Canyonlands National Park - a 527 square mile (1366 square km) natural wonder located near Moab, Utah. The park consists of three major districts and a single detached unit. The park is open 24 hours a day every day of the year. Each district has its own visitor center with hours of operation varying by time of year. Check the web site for the status of each. All are closed Christmas and New Years. All entry tickets are valid for seven days. For individuals (inclusive of walk ins, bicycles or motorcycles) the rate is $5, for private vehicles (all occupants) the rate is $10.

Dixie National Forest
Située dans le sud de l'Etat Fédéral de Utah, la forêt nationale de Dixie s'étend sur superficie de 8 000 km2.
Elle touche trois parcs nationaux et se distingue par la couleur rouge de ses sols, composés essentiellement de grès.
On y pratique un tourisme de randonnées, de pêche et d'observation de la nature.
On peut cependant concentrer sa visite, ici, à travers trois attractions principales qui sont un pont panoramique d'où l'on peut observer un canyon, la Boulder Mountain ou montagne du gros cailloux et ses blocs de pierre qui ont subi l'érosion des pluies et du vent, et , enfin le Powell point, aménagé pour venir contempler le paysage en sa qualité de sommet du site.
